The Wash Project

1.5 million children die in Africa every year from diarrhea. Much of this can be prevented by access to clean water and hand washing. Our friends Barclay Martin and Tieblecoro Samaké have a program that reaches over 7,000 school children each year teaching them the importance of hand washing. Siraba School participates in this program and incorporates hand washing into our daily schedule. In January, our American students participated in a hand washing program at a neighboring school. Clean hands equal healthy students!
